Privacy Policy

Vinyl Eyes is a personal, non-commercial web application for cataloging a private vinyl record collection. It is operated for the site owner’s own use and for invited viewers; it is not a public consumer service and does not sell products or advertising.
Information we collect
Vinyl Eyes does not collect, store, or sell personally identifiable information about casual visitors who browse the public collection. We do not build marketing profiles, run behavioral advertising, or share visitor data with data brokers.
If you sign in (optional, for collection owners only), authentication is handled by our identity provider (PocketID / OpenID Connect). Session tokens are stored in your browser so you can edit albums; we do not use sign-in data for tracking or resale.
Collection data
The app stores album metadata you or the site owner enter (artist, title, year, notes, tags, links, and similar catalog fields). That information describes recordings, not visitors.
Server and application logs
Like most web applications, the server may record standard technical logs (for example IP address, request time, URL, and browser type) for security, debugging, and reliability. These logs are retained only as long as needed for operations and are not used to profile or market to visitors.
Cloudflare
The site may be served through Cloudflare for content delivery, DNS, and security (for example DDoS protection). Cloudflare may process connection metadata as part of that service. We do not use Cloudflare to collect or share personal information about visitors for our own marketing purposes. For details on what Cloudflare logs and how they handle data, see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Third-party services (album metadata)
Optional features may call external APIs to look up album art, streaming links, or similar metadata (for example MusicBrainz, Discogs, or music link resolvers). Those requests send album search terms (artist and title), not information about who is browsing the site.
Cookies and local storage
The app may use browser local storage or similar technologies for sign-in sessions, offline caching of the collection, and display preferences (such as theme). These are functional, not used for cross-site tracking.
Children
Vinyl Eyes is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Changes
This policy may be updated occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when it does.

Questions about this policy can be directed to the site operator through the contact method published for this installation (for example the owner of vinyl.sadecki.com).
